Amputee Coalition of America
The Amputee Coalition of America (ACA) is a national, non-profit amputee consumer educational organization representing people who have experienced amputation or are born with limb differences. The ACA includes individual amputees, amputee education and support groups for amputees, professionals, family members and friends of amputees, amputation or limb loss related agencies, and organizations.

Limb Donation
What to do with your old prosthesis? It is likely that you will have many prosthesis in your lifetime. While it is wise to keep one old prosthesis as a back-up leg, consider donating your other old prosthesis to a limb bank. By law, artificial limbs cannot be reused in the United States. They may however be disassembled and distributed to needy countries throughout the world.

The following organizations accept donations of used artificial limbs: Limbs for Life Foundation www.limbsforlife.org and the World Rehabilitation Fund www.worldrehabfund.org.
